The Pennsylvania Farm Show is a special time of year when families and friends come together to enjoy food and fun at the largest indoor agricultural exposition in the country.
We are pleased to announce our events for the upcoming centennial PA Farm Show:
Deluxe Apple Hacker Giveaway
In celebration of the 100th show, the Pennsylvania Apple Marketing Program will be giving away a popular farm show favorite, a Gold Medal Deluxe Apple Hacker. This is the food service-quality apple corer and slicer that is used to at the Farm Show Apple Booth to serve thousands of samples! Visit the PA Apples Booth in the Main Hall to enter to win.
The Pennsylvania Apple Marketing Program samples fresh apple slices from 8 AM – 8 PM each day at the PA Apples Booth in the Main Expo hall. Apples can also be purchased adjacent to the apple sampling area at the Young Growers Association booth. Throughout the week, the sampling booth will have guest growers and farm marketers who will sample value added products at the opposite end of the fresh samples booth.
This year’s Ag Explorers apple learning station will feature an interactive display that lets visitors learn about apple picking—past, present and future.
State Horticultural Association of PA Food Court Apple Booth
The SHAP booth will be open daily in the main Food Court with warm apple dumplings, caramel apples, fresh cold cider, fruit pies and sundaes and more.
Weis Farm-to-Shelf Display
New this year, in celebration of the 100th Farm Show, the Weis Expo Hall will feature a special exhibit—Weis Farm-to-Shelf, which showcases four commodities (pork, dairy, apples and potatoes). The apple exhibit will highlight different segments of PA’s apple industry including processing, packaged sliced apples, wholesale and hard apple cider.

2015 Pennsylvania Apple Queen
Crowned at the Apple Blossom Festival, Pennsylvania Apple Queen Summer Showers will join us at the apple sampling booth from 2-4 PM.
Blue Ribbon Apple Pie Contest
The 2016 Blue Ribbon Apple Pie contest will take place on Saturday, January 9 from 10-2 (Set-up 9 a.m-10 a.m. at the Good Foods Stage). Creators of winning pie recipes from fair contests across the state are invited to vie for the ultimate title in pie baking. The contest is proudly sponsored by the PA Apple Marketing Program.

After the show we will be recognizing the PAP HBH Members who are able to attend.
